Living in Downtown/Brickell

Brickell is on its way to becoming Miami’s version of Manhattan;with Miami's renewed interest in luxury living development. The area is located in the southeastern portion of downtown Miami, was once dominated by financial institutions and high-rise office buildings. Development over the last several years has added a new dynamic to the area. Trendy shops, fine restaurants and entertainment centers have opened up, and new, luxury condominium complexes are selling out fast.

Convenience is the vision for the renewed city.   A community in whichresidents are within walking distance to all city amenities from supermarkets to fine arts theatres. Several high-rise condominium buildings have cafés and shops at the street level.

Approximately 5,000 people live in the Brickell area, and the population consists mainly of young professionals, international business people, downtown administrative personnel and retirees. Brickell attractions include the Miami Convention Center, River Walk, Bayside Marketplace, the Performing Arts Center of Greater Miami and the Metro-Dade Cultural Center.
